The New England Bible
Conference was held on September 19-20, 2011 at the Middletown Bible Church,
Middletown, Connecticut.
The speakers were: 1) Dr.
Manfred Kober, a native of Germany. Born of Christian parents who
perished as a result of World War II, he grew up in the war-torn province
of Saxony, where he experienced Communist oppression firsthand. In 1952 he
miraculously escaped to western Germany, leaving behind his relatives,
including a brother and sister. Due to his background, Dr. Kober has a
special love for America and a unique perspective on its place in history.
Dr. Kober taught from 1969 until 1999 at the Faith Baptist Bible College
in Ankeny, Iowa, chairing the Department of Theology. Presently he is the
research assistant for Russ Doughten Films and Mustard Seed International,
a worldwide evangelism through Christian films and discipleship training.
2) Pastor Gayle Ryle was pastor of
Bethel Baptist Church, North Wilmington, Delaware from 1966 until 2002.
Pastor Ryle, a native of Covington, Kentucky, earned his Master of
Theology 1962) and Doctor of Ministry degrees at Dallas Theological
Seminary. Prior to his pastorate at Bethel Baptist, he had served as
pastor of Second Cape May Baptist Church in Palermo, New Jersey, for three
years. Now retired, he remains active in the Lord's work and in the
preaching of the Word.
