The April 2002 National
Bible
Conference
The speakers handled the Word of God well, and their exposition of the sacred Text was greatly appreciated and valued.
Dr. John C. Whitcomb gave a series of seven messages on the book of Daniel, with special focus on Daniel chapters 2,3,8,9,10,11,12. This is the key prophetic book in the Old Testament, giving the believing heart a penetrating glance into the end times. All of these messages are available on cassette tapes.
Pastor George Parsons, the host Pastor, presented a series of messages dealing with the main thrust of the New Testament epistles. He dealt with the heart of the matter which is the matter of the heart. He dealt with the purpose of the church which is to continue the life and testimony of the Lord Jesus (Acts 1:1-2). He emphasized important dispensational distinctions. These messages were practical, personal, and probing in a good way.
Other speakers were David Moss and John Duty from Pennsylvania, James Delany from New Hampshire and Walt Crooms from Maryland. Brother Crooms spoke on the twin problems of stress and depression.
Tapes of all these messages are available from the Middletown Bible Church.
A special ladies’ session was held on the third day of the conference. Mrs. Sharon Berkheiser from Pennsylvania delivered a very helpful and challenging devotional for the ladies (see Cassette Tape #12).
Many have expressed a desire to obtain cassette tapes of the different sessions and messages which were given, especially those unable to attend the conference due to distance, etc. We are happy to announce that these tapes are available at a very reasonable price ($18.00 for about 18 full length messages and this price includes postage). A set of Dr. Whitcomb’s four tapes (seven messages) is $7.00. A set of Pastor Parsons’ four tapes (seven messages) is also $7.00. A separate order form is included in this mailing for your convenience. Individual tapes may be ordered also, but they are cheaper by the set.
